UMM Faculty of Engineering Lecturers Reach 3 Simple Patent Certificates

Malang, April 26, 2024 - The Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) has again achieved this by obtaining 3 Simple Patent Certificates for the innovative findings of its lecturers. This achievement shows UMM's commitment to encouraging innovation and research in science and technology.

First Patent: Improved Tube-Type Mesoscale Burner

The first Simple Patent Certificate entitled "Improved Tube-Type Mesoscale Burner" was obtained on March 5, 2024. This invention is the work of Mr. Dr. Ir. Achmad Fauzan Hery S, M.T., Mrs. lis Siti Aisyah, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Mr. Mohamad lrkham Mamungkas, S.T., M.T., Mr. Murjito, S.T., M.T., and Mrs. Dr. Ir. Lailis Syafa'ah, M.T. from UMM Mechanical Engineering. This patent results from the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly combustion technology.

Second Patent: Method for Making Pipe Bends in a Slice Model with Coefficient Optimization

The second Simple Patent Certificate entitled "Method for Making Pipe Bends in a Slice Model with Coefficient Optimization" was obtained on February 29, 2024. This finding is the work of Mr. Dr. Ir. Moh. Abduh, S.T., M.T., IPM., ACPE., ASEAN Eng. from Civil Engineering UMM. This patent is the result of the development of a new method of making pipe bends that are more precise and efficient.

Third Patent: Sieving Tool with Improved Rotating Octagonal Drum Mechanism

The second Simple Patent Certificate entitled "Sieving Tool with Improved Rotating Octagonal Drum Mechanism" was obtained on March 8, 2024. This finding is the work of Mrs. Iis Siti Aisyah, ST., MT., Ph.D (Mechanical Engineering Study Program) and her students. This patent is the result of the development of a new method for making more effective sand sieves.
