Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FT - UMM) was founded in 1980 or 16 years after UMM was founded. Currently, FT-UMM has more than 150 lecturers with the titles of Professor, Associate Professor, Doctor, Masters, and Professional, supported by reliable educational and administrative staff. At the moment, FT - UMM has more than 6 thousand students who are originated from almost all regions in Indonesia and foreign countries.

FT - UMM has 7 Study Programs, namely: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Informatics, Diploma in Electronic Technology, and Professional Engineer Program. FT - UMM also has several Centres of Excellence, including Renewable Energy (PLTMH, Solar Cell, and so forth), Robotics, Mechatronics, Buildings & Bridges, and the other essential areas. All Study Programs have been accredited with the score of A and B by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Even the Industrial Engineering Study Program has obtained international accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE). It will be followed by other Study Programs in the near future.
