FACULTY OF ENGINEERING

Malang, May 20, 2024 – The Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a Workshop on Improving Student Achievement and Performance at Lembah Metro Resort, Batu on Monday, May 20, 2024. This event was opened by the Vice Dean III of FT, Mr. Dr. Ir. Zamzami Septiropa, ST., MT., Ph.D., and attended by all lecturers from the Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Informatics Engineering study programs.

This workshop aims to align student policies with faculty development strategies, as well as to improve student achievement and performance. In this activity, participants received material presentations on:

1. Policies in the Field of Student Affairs by the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau (Mr. Dr. Yudi Suharsono, S.Psi., M.Si.)
2. Improving Student Achievement and International Journal Publication by the Head of TPPM FT UMM (Mr. Achmad Fauzan Hery Soegiharto, Dr. Ir., MT.)

After the presentation of the material, the participants were divided into 4 commissions based on student affairs, namely:

• Multimedia Promotion and PMB
• Reasoning, Interests, Talents, and Student Welfare
• Career and Alumni
• Internal-External Student Agenda

Each commission then held a commission meeting to discuss strategies and work programs in order to improve achievement and performance in their respective fields. The results of the commission meeting were then discussed in a plenary session attended by all workshop participants.

This workshop is expected to produce effective strategy and work program formulations to improve achievement and performance in the student affairs field at the UMM Faculty of Engineering. In addition, this workshop is also expected to increase synergy between lecturers and students in developing useful and high-achieving student activities.
