Surakarta, July 5, 2024 - University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) hosted the 2024 Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) on July 2-5 at the K.H Ahmad Dahlan Edutorium. This event was attended by 142 teams from 56 universities with more than 800 participants and officials.
The Dome Robot and Zhafarul Robot teams from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) achieved proud achievements at the 2024 KRI event. The Dome Robot won Second Place in the Indonesian SAR Robot Contest, while the Zhafarul Robot won Third Place in the Indonesian Wheeled Soccer Robot Contest.
This success was achieved thanks to hard work and teamwork. The Dome Robot Team was led by Aditya Ramadhani (Electrical Engineering, 2020), M. Dharma Putra R (Informatics Engineering, 2022), and Ika Sri Rahayu (Electrical Engineering, 2021). Meanwhile, the Zhafarul Robot Team is coordinated by Salman Al-Farisi Ramadhani (Electrical Engineering, 2020), Aditya Nugraha Putra (Electrical Engineering, 2020), and Wanda Nur Fadila (Information Technology, 2021).
Salman Al-Farisi Ramadhani from the Zhafarul Robot Team expressed his pride in this achievement even though they only won third place. He believes that hard work and teamwork will produce better results in the future.
UMS Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, M.Sc., appreciated the creativity and innovation of students that were manifested in KRI 2024. He is optimistic that the young generation of Indonesia is able to answer the challenges of the times and realize the nation's ideals.
KRI 2024 is proof of the advancement of technology and the creativity of the nation's children. UMM's achievements in this event show dedication and persistence in innovation.
