Malang, (12/01) The Faculty of Engineering received a visit from SMA Negeri 1 Majalengka. The visit was held in the BAU Hall on Thursday, January 12, 2023. A total of 144 students and 8 high school teachers came with the hope of learning a lot about the atmosphere of the lecture that the students will undergo after graduation. Nanang, Vice Principal and representative of SMAN 1 Majalengka expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Engineering and PMB team for being well received and warm. He also advised that the process of prospective students from his school who want to enter the Faculty of Engineering be given ease so that cooperation is well established. "We all teachers and lecturers at SMAN 1 Majalengka really appreciate it when the Dean in the scope of the Faculty of Engineering is very welcoming to us. God willing, many of our students are interested in entering UMM, besides the campus is cool, this campus has many advantages and achievements at the international level, "he said.
During the visit, the Faculty of Engineering was represented by Zamzami Septiropa, ST, MT, Ph.D and Ir. Gita Indah Marthasari, S.Kom, MT, as Deputy Deans III and II. In addition, Nurudin, S.Sos, M.Si and his staff were also present as representatives of the University PMB team. The admission process was lively. In front of the high school students, one of the representatives of the Faculty of Engineering Public Relations, Andinusa Rahmandhika, also presented the activities at the Faculty of Engineering. "Here you can all participate in many LSO activities, ranging from Robotics, Mechatronics, Solar, etc. There is no doubt that their achievements have all been worldwide. In lectures, you are also given the option to join the CoE (Center of Excellence) program, there is Metaverse for Informatics, Welding Inspector for Machinery, PLTS for Electrical, and many more. The output will be that you don't need to look for work, because your competence has been recognized by the industry, so God willing, it will be easy to get a job," he said.
After the speech and hospitality process, the students were then invited to tour around by members of the BEM, visiting several excellent spots of the Faculty of Engineering, such as LSO Robotics, LSO Mekatronic, to the Microhydro Power Plant. The accompanying teachers toured the campus accompanied by the PMB team using a golf cart. Teachers were invited to see campus facilities, starting from the Container Hotel, to enter Sengkaling.
