| Workshop of Transportation System Planning by UMM Civil Engineering Dept |
UMM Civil Engineering Department held a workshop in related to the transportation planning using VISSIM 6 application on May 25th 2014. The event was attended by the Lecturers and also all students’ academic class of Civil Engine Dept.
The workshop was opened by the head of UMM Civil Engineering Dept Ir. Rofikatul Karimah, MT., followed by souvenir gift before starting the main event. On this occasion, the spokesperson was Sigit W. Prsetya who known as the Director Transforum Certified Trainer from PTV Partner in Indonesia. The material discussed about traffic engineering in managing urban mobility. This application is used in transportation system planning. There are two planning systems that were discussed included micro transportation system planning and also macro transportation system planning.
The participants were facilitated with application, module, certificate and also short training about how to build an intersection in the city using VISSIM. The spokesperson and lecturers hoped that the students are able to apply this application and their ability in using will be certificated, because Sigit is the only one certificated person in using the application of transportation system planning with VISSIM internationally to date.
