Malang, April 25, 2024 - Evita Leninda Fahriza Ayuni, a Mechanical Engineering student at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) has successfully achieved a proud achievement. She entered the top five in the 2024 LLDikti Region VII East Java Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) on April 24, 2024. This achievement led her to represent East Java in the national Pilmapres event.
In the Pilmapres competition, Evita competed with outstanding students from various universities in East Java. She was undaunted and gave her best effort by collecting various achievements, exceptional achievements, and futuristic ideas.
The idea proposed by Evita focuses on the development of salt ponds in the Madura Strait. She wants to revive the local salt production aspect by implementing a technological system to increase the quantity and quality of salt. The technology she designed includes monitoring temperature parameters, water level, density, use of tunnels, and geomembranes.
This tunnel technology functions so that the salt crystallization process continues even when it rains, while the geomembrane is useful so that the color of the salt becomes whiter. Evita plans to add other useful ideas and provide the best value in national competitions.

She also advised UMM students to dare to take a stand and take advantage of every opportunity available. According to him, opportunities do not come twice, and students should not only wait for information but should find out about the various competitions available.
