Malang (21/6), Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang held another workshop. Starting from the enthusiasm to make UMM a superior campus not only at the national level but also internationally, the Dean of FT UMM held a workshop to prepare an Internationalization Program Blueprint. The event was also accompanied by the preparation of the OBE (Outcome Based Education) curriculum guide. The activity, which was attended by Faculty officials as well as the Head of the Study Program, Secretary of the Study Program, and the person in charge of the curriculum field in each Study Program, was held at Onsen Resort, Batu City on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
The workshop which was divided into 2 topics was held separately in 2 rooms. The OBE Curriculum Implementation Preparation Commission was chaired by Mr. Khusnul Hidayat, ST, MT. who also acts as the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department. He was assisted by Mr. Dr. Ir. Sulianto, MT and Mr. Ir. Galih Wasis Wicaksono, S.Kom., M.Cs. On this occasion, much was discussed about the readiness of each study program in the Faculty of Engineering in implementing the OBE curriculum which is also an important prerequisite in achieving PDCA towards IABEE accreditation.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Iis Siti Aisyah, ST., MT., Ph.D. (in this case represented by Mr. Dr. Yepy Komaril Sofi'i, ST., MT.) acted as chairman of the Commission for the Blueprint Preparation of the Internationalization Program of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. He was assisted by Mrs. Shanty Kusuma Dewi, ST, MT. and Mr. Ir. Ali Mokhtar, MT., IPM., ASEAN.Eng as members. The Internationalization Program is actually not only implemented at the Faculty level, but an appeal by the UMM Chancellor. However, the Faculty as an extension of the hand feels the need to concoct these programs so that they are easier to implement by the entire academic community within the Faculty of Engineering.
On this occasion, Mr. Briansyah Setio Wiyono, S.Kom., M.Kom. as the chairman of the workshop organizing committee said that this program should be a routine activity of the Faculty. "At this time, the workshop is aimed at formulating a strategy for preparing the OBE Curriculum and International blueprint. However, it does not rule out the need for monitoring and evaluation as an evaluation, which state the Faculty is in," he explained.
