Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang Holds Work Meeting and Preparation of Budget Plans (RAB) for 2024

Malang (18/1), Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a Work Meeting and Preparation of Budget Plans (RAB) for the 2024 fiscal year. The event which took place solemnly and relaxedly was attended by all levels of the Dean's Office, Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean II, and Deputy Dean III

Dean of the UMM Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ilyas Masudin, ST., M.LogSCM., Ph.D., opened the event by giving encouragement to all participants. He emphasized the importance that study programs (Prodi) and laboratories at the Faculty of Engineering are in line with the vision and mission that have been set, especially those that meet the international accreditation criteria of IABEE (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education).

The Dean also expressed his hope that the functional positions of teaching staff within the Faculty of Engineering could be upgraded systematically, in order to support improving the quality of teaching and research.

The event continued with presentations from Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean II, and Deputy Dean III, who discussed various important aspects of the development of the Faculty of Engineering. Then, take turns Head of Study Program (Head of Study Program) and Head of Lab (Head of Laboratory) for Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Informatics, Industrial Engineering, and PSPPI (Product Development and Innovation Study Center) as well as the ATC & Physics Lab.

One of the highlights of this meeting was the creation of the Research Group in the Faculty of Engineering. The Research Group involves six leading research areas, namely:

  1. Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Engineering Research Group
  2. Energy Sustainability and Renewable Technologies Research Group
  3. Health Systems and Biomedical Innovations Research Group
  4. Environmental Conservation and Climate Resilience Research Group

It is hoped that the establishment of this Research Group will strengthen the Faculty of Engineering in facing future challenges, as well as support efforts to produce high-quality research that can make a positive contribution to society.

The event closed with a positive atmosphere, where all participants felt motivated and ready to carry out the programs that had been prepared at the meeting.
