Jufri, MT, and supported by two expert mentors, namely Andinusa Rahmandhika, ST., M.Eng. for the urban electric category and Dr. Yepy Komaril Sofi'i, ST., MT. for the proto gasoline category. Shell Eco-Marathon Asia, which will be held on July 4-9, 2023, will be a battle between student teams from across Asia to create the most efficient vehicle in terms of energy consumption. The competition emphasizes the importance of innovation and technology to create environmentally friendly and sustainable vehicles. The UMM Mekatronic team has chosen to participate in two race categories, namely urban electric and proto-gasoline. In the urban electric category, they will present an electric vehicle designed for daily use in urban areas. Meanwhile, in the proto-gasoline category, they will present a vehicle with a gasoline engine optimized for high efficiency.
At the team launch event, Mr. Drs. Moh. Jufri, MT. expressed his hope that the UMM Mekatronic team could give a brilliant performance in this competition. He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between students and mentors in achieving maximum results. The manager of the Mekatronic UMM team for the urban electric category, M. Amin Abil, revealed that they had worked hard in designing and building their electric vehicle. They hope to prove that electric vehicles can be a better choice for urban transportation that is environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Meanwhile, Evita Lenida, manager of the UMM Mekatronic team for the proto gasoline category, said that their team had conducted in-depth research and applied the latest technology to improve the efficiency of their vehicle. They are committed to presenting a vehicle with outstanding performance in this competition.
Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2023 will be held at Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, Indonesia, which is the perfect place for participants to showcase their skills in optimizing the energy efficiency of their vehicles.
