Encouragingly, 4 Faculty of Engineering PKM Teams pass DIKTI Funding

Malang, (27/6), Students from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) again achieved brilliant achievements by passing funding for the Student Creativity Program-Creation Initiative (PKM-KC) and the Student Creativity Program-Independent Research (PKM-PM). These teams of talented students have successfully secured financial support to realize their innovative projects.

Team 1, consisting of Devita, Riko, Daniel, Safa Roja, and Alifia Oriana, with guidance from Mr. Andi Syaiful Amal, Ir., MT, IPM, ASEAN Eng. from the Department of Civil Engineering, successfully passed PKM-KC funding. They will carry out a project entitled "Road Surface Pre-Maintenance Using IoT based on Image Processing." In this project, they will develop a road surface monitoring system that uses Internet of Things (IoT) technology and image processing to detect early damage and carry out timely road maintenance.

Meanwhile, Team 2, led by Mr. Dr. Ir. Suwarsono, MT from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, also succeeded in obtaining PKM-KC funding. Team members consisting of Alifia Oriana, Devita, Ilham, Lutfi, and Mahdy will carry out a project entitled "Early Detection of Building Damage with the Steepest Descent Method based on Image Processing." They will develop an early detection system for building damage using the Steepest Descent method and image processing technology to identify building damage accurately and on time.

In addition, Team 3 consisting of Rifqi Alfareza, Zumro'atul Afifah, and Imelda also won funding in the Independent Student Creativity Program (PKM-PM). They will carry out a project entitled "Integrated Emergency Alert System (EAS) of Six Water Quality Sensors Tools to Maintain the Vannamei Shrimp Survival Rate." This project aims to develop an early warning system for natural disasters that is integrated with six water quality sensors, with a focus on maintaining the survival rate of vannamei shrimp.

Not only that, Imelda Azaliya Rahma, a student at the UMM Faculty of Engineering, also succeeded in winning PKM-PM funding with the project titled "Stunting Free Zone With Gen Z." The project aims to increase awareness and understanding of the younger generation in preventing stunting through educational campaigns and interactive programs.

This funding will provide financial support to these teams to carry out their research and innovative projects. UMM is proud of the achievements achieved by the students of the Faculty of Engineering and hopes that their projects will make a meaningful contribution to facing social and technological challenges in the future.

With support from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang and the funding received, it is hoped that the teams can realize the vision and goals of their project and provide significant benefits to the community and surrounding environment. UMM gives high appreciation to students and supervisors for the dedication, hard work, and innovation they present. Hopefully, these projects will be successful and have a sustainable positive impact.
