Malang (26/8), In an era where energy resources are increasingly limited and climate change is increasingly evident, saving electricity has become one of the main focuses. Saving electricity is not only about reducing monthly bills but also about playing a role in preserving the environment and safeguarding the future of future generations. In addition to environmental benefits, electricity savings also have a significant economic impact. For households, savings measures can reduce monthly expenses and help allocate budgets for other things.
Mr. Machmud Effendy, ST, M.Eng as a lecturer in Electrical Engineering from UMM explained tips for optimizing electricity use on a household scale. According to him, this must be implemented to reduce global warming. By implementing simple but effective measures, many communities can reduce energy consumption without sacrificing comfort.
"Here several points starting from using electrical equipment that has higher electrical power efficiency, choosing electrical equipment according to electrical power needs, reducing the use of air conditioning by maximizing the use of doors and windows for air circulation, limiting or scheduling the use of electronic equipment, especially those with high power. big electricity," said the UMM lecturer.
"So this is influenced by the objects as well, therefore buy what suits your needs, so that the electrical power used is also minimized," he added. However, renewable and sustainable solutions can be found in the utilization of unlimited natural resources such as renewable energy. The utilization of renewable energy is a step forward towards overcoming the problem of wasting electricity. By utilizing inexhaustible and environmentally friendly natural resources, we can create a cleaner environment and reduce the negative impacts of climate change. "Electricity waste is not a problem that can be ignored. Because electricity comes from burning coal, it will increase global warming, therefore people must increase awareness to reduce the negative impact of electricity waste," Said Machmud.
