Malang the Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) (UMM) has successfully held the Introduction and Recognition of New Students (Pesmaba) in 2023. This event was held with great enthusiasm at the UMM Dome for three consecutive days, starting from Tuesday to Thursday, September 12-14 2023. The Faculty of Engineering 2023 Pesmaba event was the main highlight for more than 1100 new students of the Faculty of Engineering UMM. They were given an extraordinary experience for three days full of information, provision, and motivation to start their journey in the academic world.
The first day of the event was opened with great fanfare by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Ilyas Masudin, M.LogSCM., Ph.D. He gave a warm welcome to all new students and inspired them to achieve the highest achievements while studying at the Faculty of Engineering UMM.
The second day of Pesmaba Faculty of Engineering 2023 continued with presentations from three Vice Deans of the Faculty of Engineering, namely Vice Dean I, Mr. Zulfatman, M.Eng., Ph.D; Vice Dean II, Mr. Ir. Gita Indah Marthasari, S.Kom., M.Kom; and Vice Dean III, Mr. Zamzami Septiropa, ST., MT., Ph.D. On this day, new students also had the valuable opportunity to take part in the Rectorate Safari conducted by the UMM Chancellor and university leaders.
In the afternoon, Pesmaba continued with presentations from the University and Faculty Student Executive Board (BEM), as well as various Semi-Autonomous Institutions (LSO) and Student Activity Units (UKM). New students receive complete information about these organizations and the opportunities they can take advantage of during their studies.
The third day of Pesmaba began with the "Back to Department" agenda, which allowed new students to get to know more about their majors or departments. Furthermore, they got a deeper understanding of laboratories, the Student Creativity Program (PKM), and the Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), and listened to motivation from successful alumni in various fields.
The Faculty of Engineering 2023 Pesmaba event was closed with great fanfare on the third day by Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering UMM. New students are given encouragement and important messages to start their academic journey with determination and high spirits.
Pesmaba Faculty of Engineering 2023 at UMM Dome has provided a strong foundation for new students to achieve success while studying at the Faculty of Engineering UMM.
