Malang (28/6), Coding entities are certainly familiar to the lay public. Even though coding is not something that can be seen openly, it brings real benefits to the world in this era of digitalization. Currently, more and more people are learning coding to create useful programs without going to college and following special programs or intensively learning the world of programming. Knowing this, UMM lecturers were interested in discussing the difficulties of the world of programming.
With the development of the digital era, “Ir. Yufis Azhar, S.Kom., M.Kom. a UMM Informatics Engineering lecturer said that of course many professions are needed in the future to always update technology. "It could be said that when we talk about programmers we are talking about skills, with special programs such as tutoring or whatever, it is indeed possible to become a beginner programmer, but to reach an advanced level, of course, you continue to learn and hone these skills, especially since there are several things that are generally learned in coding programs such as Programming Languages, Data Structures and Algorithms, Databases, Web Development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript," he said.
Most short-term programming courses only teach basic skills to hone the abilities of someone who wants to learn. When talking about difficulties, Yufis explained that it depends on each person's personality. Someone who has intentions and is focused on their goals will always hone their skills, which is different from people who are just trying, let alone joining in. "If students are usually trained in programming courses from the first semester to hone their skills, logically they will continue to learn until they reach an advanced level, so if they say it's difficult, that's not true as long as they want to learn," said the UMM lecturer.
It's important to remember that programming is a broad and ever-evolving field. Therefore, programming also needs to be learned continuously and following technological developments and the latest trends in the world of programming. With very fast developments, a programmer must always continue to learn because if he doesn't keep up he will certainly be left behind. Becoming a programmer is also a choice, no matter what method you take, as long as you have serious intentions, even without studying at college, you can get it by taking the crash course. "Perhaps with the programming course the learning will be more focused if in lectures the courses are plotted in such a way and of course, there is more to learn," said Yufis.
