Resounding Success at the 5th Engineering Seminar: Strengthening the Role of Engineers Towards Golden Indonesia 2045

Malang (5/8), the Engineering Professional Program Study Program (PSPPI) Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) again held the 5th Engineering Seminar with resounding success. The event, which was held online, presented 58 presenters, the majority of whom were well-known industry practitioners. In opening the seminar, UMM Vice Chancellor I, Mr. Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin, M.Sc., expressed his appreciation for PSPPI's enthusiasm and dedication to holding this quality event. He also emphasized the important role of engineers in pushing Indonesia towards a golden era in 2045.

The main session of the seminar was the main highlight, with Mr. Prof. Ir. Suryo Purwono, MASc, Ph.D, IPU, ASEAN.Eng, ACPE, a lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Advisor to the Indonesian PSPPI Communication Forum, appeared as Keynote Speaker. Mr. Prof. Purwono presented inspiring material on "The Role of Engineers in Welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045." The event was nicely moderated by the Head of PSPPI UMM Study Program, Mr. Ir. Ali Mokhtar, MT., IPM., ASEAN.Eng.

The big theme of this seminar, "The Role of Engineers in Welcoming a Golden Indonesia 2045," invites in-depth reflection and discussion about the real contribution that engineers can make in facing the challenges and opportunities in the future. Participants from various backgrounds and engineering fields actively participated in panel discussions and question-and-answer sessions which enriched the insights of all participants.

Mr. Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin in his speech also stated, "5th Engineering Seminar  is a manifestation of UMM's commitment to supporting the development of science and technology in Indonesia. Through collaboration between industry practitioners and academics, we believe that the role of engineers will be increasingly qualified in advancing the nation towards Golden Indonesia. 2045." 5th Engineering Seminar not only presents the latest insights in engineering and engineering but also creates a valuable space for participants to network and develop collaborative potential. UMM and PSPPI hoped that this seminar would continue to provide inspiration and positive energy for future engineers and their contribution to the progress of Indonesia.
