Malang, April 21, 2024 - The Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FT UMM) has again made a proud achievement. A total of 5 Student Creativity Program (PKM) proposals from the Faculty of Engineering have been funded by the Education Fund Service Agency (Belmawa) in PKM 2024.
This success cannot be separated from the hard work of the Student Achievement Movement Team (TPPM) of the Faculty of Engineering led by Dr. Ir. Achmad Fauzan HS, MT. This team has been actively holding PKM article writing clinics to guide students in making quality proposals.
Of the 5 proposals that passed, 3 proposals were chaired by students of the Faculty of Engineering, and 2 other proposals were attended by students of the Faculty of Engineering as team members.
Two of the 3 PKM proposals led by students of the Faculty of Engineering are categorized as PKM-KC (Karsa Cipta), and come from the Mechanical Engineering Study Program. While the other 1 proposal is categorized as PKM-PM (Pengabdian Masyarakat) and comes from the Industrial Engineering Study Program.
Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Engineering, Zamzami Septiropa, Ph.D., expressed his pride in the achievements of these students. He hopes that the students will not only pass the funding, but can also advance to the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS).
One of the PKM team leaders who passed the funding, Abi Mufid Octavio, said that his team's success was the result of hard work and solid synergy between the supervising lecturers, the Study Program, and the student team.
This achievement demonstrates the commitment of the UM Faculty of Engineering to encourage its students to excel and produce innovative works that are beneficial to society.
