Hosting a prestigious event like the 2019 National Unmanned Fast Boat Contest (KKCTBN) became a challenge for the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Besides having to serve participants with the maximum treat, the performance of the home team must also be optimal. UMM has shown it.
In this 3 day event, 10-12 October 2019, UMM successfully won 3 titles at the same time. First, rank 2 in 2 categories at once. Namely the Electric Remote Control (ERC) and Fuel Engine Remote Control (FERC) categories. Second, the favorite team nominations in the FERC category won by the UMM I Team, UMM.
Until the winners were announced (12/10), UMM performed with the best performance. UMM Team 2 in the ERC category got the best achievement with a final score of 120,678. While Team UMM 1 was in the FERC category with a final score of 121,379. While in the ASV category, UMM had to settle for 14th place with a score of 10.8252.
Even though the new team was formed this year, even UMM did not have a special shipping student activity unit, but they were still optimistic about winning. However, they have a Mechronic group that focuses on machining. There is a focus on energy-efficient cars, while about the new research ship in 2019 lately.
"The UMM team before designing the ship first studied the KKCTBN guidelines from the first year to the last year of implementation. Then sought information on the strengths and strengths and weaknesses of the opposing team, especially the champion subscription team," said Drs Jufri MT MT, the UMM Fast Ship Team companion (13/10) .
Also periodic evaluations include how to design a body shape that is flexible and also suitable for all types of tracks and the components used to find the best. "If the ship is flexible and the components are the best, then it is only a strategy to steal the victory," Jufri explained.
After this victory, Jufri claimed that he would still prepare a more solid and compact team to take part in the following competitions. "Of course, we also always keep in the tradition of champions for teams in all competitions that are followed. Make no mistake, the new participants are all semester 3," he said.
Head of Reasoning and Ristekdikti Reasoning and Dr Misbah Fikrianto MM MSi expressed his appreciation to UMM White Campus, which hosted the 2019 KKCTBN. "Very high appreciation, appreciation, and flattery for the implementation of this year's KKCTBN at UMM with the predicate of excellence," he said.
This is because first, the number of participants this year has doubled from the previous year. Second, the assessment of KKCTBN at UMM this year uses an application so that it is more transparent and accountable.
