The Faculty of Engineering, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FT-UMM) was founded in 1978 under the name Muhammadiyah Engineering Academy which is located at Jl. Sutami Dam 188A (formerly Jl. Sumbersari 188A). Since 1992, the Faculty of Engineering was moved from Campus II to Campus III UMM which is located at Jl. Raya Tlogomas 246 Malang, East Java. The Faculty of Engineering is located in the Gedung Kuliah Bersama (GKB 3) floors 1 to 6 which are located on the north side of the campus.
There are 6 study programs at FT UMM namely: (1) Mechanical Engineering, (2) Civil Engineering, (3) Electrical Engineering, (4) Industrial Engineering, (5) Informatics, and (6) Professional Engineer Program. In addition, FT UMM has 4 special programs namely the Welding Inspector School, the PLTS School, the Metaverse School, and the Simple Property Development School. FT-UMM has more than 150 lecturers with Doctoral, Masters, researchers and professionals degrees and is supported by reliable administrative and technical staff.
With a campus location in the cool city of Malang, and all classes equipped with multimedia rooms, 31 laboratories, six study centers and other supporting facilities, making the UMM Faculty of Engineering the right choice to continue to the Undergraduate (S1) and Professional levels. UMM provides opportunities for students to find interests in various topics, develop ideas and ideas and curiosity to create the best innovations.
With supporting facilities and teaching staff, the UMM Faculty of Engineering has achieved proud achievements at the national and international levels. Some of the achievements that have been achieved include winning the Indonesian Building Contest (KBGI), the Indonesian Bridge Contest (KJI), the Indonesian Fire Fighting Robot Contest, the Indonesian Smart Robot Contest, the Energy Efficient Car Contest and others. In addition to developing themselves in the field of engineering, the UMM Faculty of Engineering held guest lectures, training and seminars to further develop students so that they become graduates who have Islamic values and are professionals in their fields.
